Akhil Jalan
I am a computer scientist working at the intersection of machine learning and biology. Currently, I do research on drug development at BioPhy. Previously, I was a PhD student at the Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning at UT Austin, where I developed on transfer learning & active learning methods for heterogeneous and complex datasets arising in biological settings. I have broad interests and have also worked on food science (alternative proteins), operations research, computational complexity theory, and dynamical systems.
